On 12 December 2026, the English band will take the stage at Fort Canning Green @ Fort Canning Park, bringing their signature blend of shimmering guitars, atmospheric textures and hauntingly beautiful vocals to Singapore once again.
A Legacy Built on Sound
Since forming in Reading in 1989, Slowdive have become one of the most influential names in shoegaze and alternative music. Their music has long been defined by layers of distorted guitars, dreamy melodies and ethereal vocals — creating songs that feel as expansive as they are intimate.
From Just for a Day and Souvlaki to Pygmalion, the band’s catalogue has continued to find new listeners decades after its original release. Tracks such as “Alison” and “When the Sun Hits” have become enduring favourites, cementing Slowdive’s place in the history of the genre.
And while their sound is deeply rooted in the ‘90s, Slowdive have never been a band stuck in the past.
Everything Is Alive
In 2023, Slowdive returned with everything is alive, their first album in six years.
The record sees the band revisiting the atmospheric sound they’ve become known for while introducing subtle electronic elements and a sense of warmth and renewal. It became another chapter in a career that has repeatedly evolved without losing what makes Slowdive unmistakably Slowdive.
For longtime fans, their return also offers a chance to hear these newer songs alongside the tracks that first made them icons of the shoegaze movement.
Slowdive Live in Singapore
There’s something particularly fitting about experiencing Slowdive outdoors. With Fort Canning Green as the backdrop, their expansive soundscapes can unfold beneath the Singapore night sky — from delicate melodies to walls of shimmering guitar.
Whether you’ve been listening to Slowdive since the ‘90s or discovered them through the recent resurgence of shoegaze, this is a chance to experience the band live in a setting made for their music.
Slowdive Live in Singapore takes place on 12 December 2026 at Fort Canning Green @ Fort Canning Park.
